Deine Rolle

Als Wissenschaftliche:r Mitarbeiter:in oder Rechtsreferendar:in (m/w/d) im Bereich Legal Engineering arbeitest du an der Schnittstelle von Recht, Produkt und KI. Du übersetzt jurisches Fachwissen in KI-gestützte Arbeitsabläufe und trägst dazu bei, dass Libra’s Produkt echte juristische Denkmuster und Argumentationslogik abbildet.

Du arbeitest eng mit unserem Legal Engineering- und Product Team zusammen und unterstützt bei der Entwicklung, Optimierung und Evaluierung juristischer KI-Anwendungen. Dein juristisches Know-how fließt direkt in das Produkt ein, das täglich von tausenden Jurist:innen genutzt wird.

Diese Position eignet sich ideal für Rechtsreferendar:innen in der Wahlstation oder wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter:innen nach dem 1. Staatsexamen, die juristische Exzellenz mit technologischer Neugier verbinden möchten.

Deine Aufgaben

Unterstützung bei der Entwicklung und Optimierung von KI-basierten juristischen Workflows und Libra Assistants.
Analyse und Strukturierung jurischer Inhalte und Argumentationsmuster für deren Integration in KI-Modelle.
Zusammenarbeit mit dem Product- und Engineering-Team, um jurische Logik, Genauigkeit und Mehrwert sicherzustellen.
Erstellung, Prüfung und Qualitätssicherung juristischer Texte, Dokumente und Prompts.
Unterstützung bei Pilotprojekten mit Kanzleien und Rechtsabteilungen – du siehst, wie dein Input direkt in der Praxis wirkt.
Mitwirkung an Schulungs- und Wissensinhalten für die Libra Academy.

Dein Profil

Überdurchschnittlich abgeschlossenes 1. juristisches Staatsexamen.
Hohe juristische Kompetenz und Freude daran, komplexe Sachverhalte analytisch und präzise zu erfassen.
Interesse an Künstlicher Intelligenz, Legal Tech und der Zukunft der juristischen Arbeit.
Klare, strukturierte Ausdrucksweise in Deutsch und Englisch.
Eigeninitiative, Neugier und eine selbstständige, sorgfältige Arbeitsweise.
Bonus: Erfahrung in einer Kanzlei, Rechtsabteilung oder mit Legal Tech Tools.

Role Overview

As a Legal Research Associate or Legal Trainee in the Legal Engineering team, you’ll work at the intersection of law, product, and AI. You’ll translate complex legal knowledge into AI-powered workflows and help shape how Libra’s product reflects real legal reasoning.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Product, Engineering, and Legal Engineering teams to develop, test, and improve AI models that assist lawyers in their daily work. Your legal expertise will directly influence how our AI understands, structures, and delivers legal insights.

This position is ideal for law graduates or legal trainees (Referendare in their elective stage) who combine strong legal foundations with a genuine curiosity for technology and innovation.

What You'll Do

Support the development and optimization of AI-based legal workflows and Libra Assistants.
Translate complex legal reasoning into structured logic, prompts, and workflows that make AI-generated outputs legally sound.
Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to test and improve AI features and ensure legal accuracy.
Review and refine AI outputs for quality and correctness in different areas of law.
Participate in pilot projects with law firms and corporate legal departments, helping design AI use cases that deliver real value.
Contribute to training data curation, prompt engineering, and user education materials for the Libra Academy.
Act as a bridge between legal expertise and technical execution — ensuring that everything we build feels like it was made by lawyers, for lawyers.

What You Have

A law degree (First State Exam or equivalent) or completed legal traineeship (Referendariat).
Excellent legal reasoning skills and a strong analytical mindset.
Genuine interest in artificial intelligence, legal tech, and the future of law.
Clear and structured communication skills in English and German (both written and spoken).
A proactive, precise, and detail-oriented way of working.
Curiosity and a desire to learn new technologies and workflows.
Bonus: Experience working in a law firm, corporate legal department, or with legal tech tools.
